Xi Jinping “Thought.” What’s being presented to parents as “global awareness” or “cultural exchange” is, in practice, a pipeline for political messaging that mirrors the Chinese Communist Party’s worldview. Instead of focusing on academic recovery, literacy, or math proficiency, schools are adopting materials and partnerships that elevate the CCP’s political doctrine as a model for social harmony and civic behavior.
This shift is happening through curriculum framing, teacher training, and outside organizations that promote China’s state‑approved narratives. Students are exposed to lessons that sanitize authoritarian governance, glorify collectivism, and subtly undermine American constitutional principles. Chicago’s already struggling schools—burdened by low scores, chronic absenteeism, and financial mismanagement—are now being used as fertile ground for ideological experimentation rather than academic improvement.
Parents see the danger clearly: importing Xi Jinping’s political “thought” into classrooms means normalizing censorship, obedience to the state, and the erosion of individual rights. Chicago families deserve schools that teach critical thinking, American civics, and academic excellence—not foreign political doctrine wrapped in a friendly cultural bow. Kane County must stay vigilant, because what starts in Chicago rarely stays in Chicago.
