3 East Aurora Highschool Students Arrested During ICE Walk-Out

Charges include Obsruction to Aggravated Battery to Police Officer

It’s deeply troubling to see students showing so little respect for the law that a peaceful walkout escalated into arrests and an injured officer. What’s even more concerning is that the school appeared to coordinate and facilitate this walkout rather than using the time to address the very real academic crisis facing its students. With proficiency rates already far below where they should be, every instructional minute matters.

Parents and taxpayers deserve to know why a district struggling to teach basic reading, writing, and math would divert energy into orchestrating a political demonstration instead of focusing on the fundamentals. At a time when students desperately need stronger academic grounding and consistent expectations, the priority should be restoring discipline, respect, and learning—not encouraging activities that pull students further away from the classroom.
