WHITE PRIVILEGE, D303 and the disregard for D303 minority taxpayers

d303'S WHITE PRIVILEGE RUNS OVER MINORITIES

Although D303 has a diversity DEI policy (see below), WHITE PRIVILEGE appears to be alive and well.  Let's examine some facts.  But let's start with the fact that D303 does, in fact, have a policy.  Click here.

3. The bond referendum is to purportedly repair deferred maintenance issues that the white board neglected over the past decades.  But according to the census department only 22% of D303's population are minorities.  The result?  White privilege can jam this on top of minority taxpayers who would have no choice but to pay the bill or leave the district.  But with a population of just 22%, minorities in D303 don't have the voice or electoral power to be heard, or the power to stop the tax increase.  The result?  D303 minority homeowner taxpayers are stuck.
4. Over 22% of the bond cost will be allocated towards the uber luxurious $62,000,000 fieldhouse.  Why?   Glad you asked....The fieldhouse ranked third from the bottom among the 16 projects prioritized by D303's Communitywide Education Facilities Committee, according to the Illinois Policy Institute's review of the committee report.  Third from the bottom, but will take over 22% of the money.
5. With over half of the D303 school board as democrat, the white privilege referendum should have died at birth and in the very least, had enough sense to kill the taj mahal fieldhouse. 
6. Comments on Facebook and other social media platforms tell those who can't afford to live in Saint Charles to leave the state.  All of the pay or leave comments come from white Facebook users. 
7. Most up and coming minorities in D303 are thrilled with the opportunity to better themselves.  To that end, they have worked hard for the opportunity to give their kids an opportunity for a better education.  They risked everything to move into an INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE school district.  But with only 22% of voting block, they have no ability to override the new tax that the white folks wants to put on them. 

Fair?  Absolutely not.   Expected?  You bet.  Whites make the tax.  If it passes, the whites will be the proximate cause for the referendum passing.  The voice of minorities resonates like the sound of silence.  White Privilege?  The reader can make their own conclusion.
